About Us

Naomi

Naomi was born in San Antonio, the second of three children by Manuel and Rachel. Growing up with a close-knit, extended family, her home away from home was the South Side of the city, where grandmothers Eloisa and Elpidia helped raise and inspire in her a passion for food. That passion continued, attending a study abroad program in Italy, and eventually leaving her home for Phoenix, Arizona, where she would earn her Bachelors of Science in Business Management at Arizona State University and later graduate from the Arizona Culinary Institute in Scottsdale. Ready to use her knowledge and apply her passion, she immediately began at Whole Foods Market where she has worked her way to the position of Associate Team Lead for the Specialty Department, specializing in the art of beer, wine, coffee, and cheese. She continues to expand her culinary education, recently achieving an American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional designation in 2014. Other interests include crochet, baking, spending a ridiculous amount of time pinning cute things on Pinterest, hiking with Edie, their blue heeler, board games, and the restoration of their home and garden in San Antonio.

Tim

The youngest of three born to Thomas and Judy, Tim hails from no one particular place on the map, having lived near the beaches of Florida, the desert of Arizona, and the state of Texas where he resides once more, this time in San Antonio. Dreaming of a career in science, Tim graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s in Molecular Bioscience and Biotechnology and currently works at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. Tim’s current interests include gardening, wood working, home renovation, and website design. *Which is how you got here!*

Together

Despite attending the same school and even apartments simultaneously years before, Naomi and Tim met for first time on November 18th, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona at a small café off N. Central Ave. Promising to give Naomi her first tour of the Grand Canyon, the two soon embarked on a wintery January journey where they found freshly fallen snow, frozen waterfalls, and a confession of love for each other. Desiring to be closer to family, the couple moved to San Antonio where they eventually closed on their first home on All Hallow’s Eve, 2013. During their first summer as homeowners, on what seemed to be an unceremonious trip to the Botanical Gardens on the longest day of the year, Tim proposed to Naomi in a small garden under the grapevines where she said, "yes!" And now the couple invites you to celebrate their next momentous occasion on October 15th, 2015.
